About Being Creative

2008 heralds a brand new start for my family as we have chosen to 'downshift', swapping a third of our annual income for a more simple, healthy and relaxed lifestyle. I have given up full-time employment to be the 'creative director' of our household of three - myself, my husband and the youngest of our three children - to try and restore a semblence of order to, and to manage the completion of, the restoration project that is our home. We currently have no plans to move elsewhere and still live in the same town in the upper part of Lincolnshire where we have lived for the past nine years.
I have started this blog not only to record the highs and lows of my new role but to meet other like-minded people and to pass on any tips that I gain along the way in the hope that other people will find them to be useful.
Our household also consists of two large canines who keep me company during the day (and often at nights as well)! I am also keen that 'blogging' should extend my mind beyond the daily ritual of phrases such as "Do you need a wee?", "It's your turn for a walk now", and "Go and lie in your basket!"
